Background to the GPS-HRN
Who are we?
The Global Positioning System in Health Research Network was launched at the 2009 International Society for Behavioural Nutrition and Physical Activity Conference in Cascais, Portugal.
The aim of the GPS-HRN is to establish a communication forum that will allow GPS researchers to share ideas and experience.
The current administration team is comprised of researchers from France, United Kingdom, New Zealand, USA, and Denmark.
Chair: Dr Alexis Le Faucheur (Ecole normale supérieure de Rennes, FRANCE)
Editorial team: Dr Scott Duncan (Auckland University of Technology), Dr Jasper Schipperijn (University of Southern Denmark), Dr Jenna Panter (University of Cambridge), Dr Kelly R. Evenson (The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill).

The GPS-HRN is currently sponsored by The Ecole normale supérieure of Rennes, FRANCE; however, we will be pursuing further funding for the ongoing maintenance of the network.
